Spark Junior
(Youth Empowerment)
Empowering the Next Generation to Lead, Create, and Thrive
Spark Hearts is the community care arm of Spark WA Foundation — a movement of volunteers and families coming together to uplift one another through acts of kindness, service, and support.
From donation drives and neighborhood cleanups to care packages and outreach visits, Spark Hearts creates space for people to show up for each other — especially when life feels hard. Whether it’s helping a family in crisis, spending time with isolated seniors, or simply bringing groceries to a neighbor, we believe small sparks of compassion can light up entire communities.
What We Do
Creative Workshops & Youth Events
Hands-on experiences like baking classes, art and STEM camps, dance sessions, and storytelling nights — designed to build confidence and joy.
Leadership & Life Skills Programs
Age-appropriate sessions that teach communication, teamwork, empathy, financial basics, public speaking, and more.
Mentorship Circles
Youth are paired with inspiring adults and role models who support their growth, answer questions, and help them plan for their future.
Community Service Projects
Spark Junior participants take the lead in small service initiatives — learning the value of giving back and building pride in their contribution.
Who We Serve
We welcome children and teens from all backgrounds, ages 6–18. Whether they’re creative, curious, shy, bold, or just looking for a safe place to grow — Spark Junior is designed to meet them where they are.
We prioritize inclusivity, accessibility, and connection — with support from youth development professionals, community mentors, and volunteers who care.
Why it matters
When young people feel empowered, the whole community grows stronger. Spark Junior gives youth the tools and encouragement they need to take on life with confidence — and shows them that their ideas, voices, and kindness matter.
